Josh is the first male to join the Support Squad team to keep all the ladies in check! (good luck Josh) All jokes aside, Josh's friendly and good nature, keen eye for detail and high level of efficiency makes him very popular with our clients and well known for getting the job done with ease. Josh grew up with a family member who has a disability, who to this day he absolutely treasures and loves spending time with. He is grateful for their close relationship, and, he is the reason why he feels so passionately about supporting people with a disability.

7. What is the most inspiring part of your job? Seeing the joy on participants faces when we assist them to pair with the right supports and watch them build their capacity!

Emma has recently finalised her Social Work Degree, and has joined the Support Squad team as a Specialist Support Coordinator. She is highly efficient, has exceptional communication skills and an approachable, outgoing nature. She is fiercely passionate about assisting clients to maximise their NDIS funding outcomes and achieve personal goals. She is situated in the outer suburbs of the city and has capacity to take on new clients being that she has only recently started with Support Squad.

When she’s not being an invoicing guru and working hard to keep the finances in check, she is supporting her three young children and their hectic school / kindy / play date schedules. 1. In another life, I'm pretty sure I was a fairy. I think I would have lived in a tree by the beach somewhere and spent my days looking after my ocean home with the other water fairies.

2. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d travel the world and treat myself to the most incredible wardrobe as well as keep working here.

3. The best piece of advice I've ever been given is to ‘do it scared.’ This helps me jump in headfirst and give new experiences a go, even if I may feel a bit unsure or not ready. It has never steered me wrong.

4. What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars? The minute I walked through the front door, I knew Support Squad was the place for me to make a difference in people’s lives and be my best self. If you feel that way too, go for it!

5. If I weren't so damn good at my job, I'd probably be a theatre maker, writing plays on my laptop in a little cafe in Berlin, ready to go to rehearsal at Schaubühne.

6. I am an aunty to my housemate’s dog Bowser, who is a three-year-old boxer cross staffy. He is a handsome boy who loves treats, walks, and can open doors. He often breaks in to my room to check in on me or go out onto my balcony to bask in the sun. He makes the most adorable pet.

7. What's the most inspiring part of your job? Working with the participants, brightening their days, and helping them achieve their goals for sure.

8. If I were a superhero, my superpower would be to shape shift. It would be excellent because I could change my appearance at will so I’d never have to dye my hair again and I would make myself a lot taller! Top shelf at the supermarket tall.
